When Is the Blow Up The City UPDATE 2? What the Promise Says

The game's own description says UPDATE 2 is coming this Saturday. We read that line on Thursday 10 September 2026, which makes the Saturday 12 September. Here is what the promise establishes, and what we will not claim from it.

The promise, as written

Blow Up The City's Roblox description contains something a store page rarely does: a dated commitment. Between the update list and an invitation to open a private server sits the line 'UPDATE 2 - COMING THIS SATURDAY!' We read that line from the game's own page on 10 September 2026, and it is the only forward-looking statement the developer has published anywhere we can read.

That matters because almost everything else about this game's future is unstated. There is no roadmap, no code page, no Trello board and no announcements channel we have been able to tie back to Airstrike Industries. One sentence about a Saturday is the entire published plan, which makes it worth reading carefully rather than repeating.

Which Saturday it means

We read the description on Thursday 10 September 2026, so the Saturday two days later is 12 September 2026. That is the reading most people would take and it is the one we are publishing, with the caveat that attaches to any relative date: 'this Saturday' is a moving target. A line written weeks ago and never edited would have pointed at a different Saturday when it was written, and a line edited later would move again.

Roblox does not publish a history of description edits, so we cannot see when that sentence was added or whether it has been touched since. What our own collector can do is re-read the field on a schedule and record what it says, which turns a relative promise into a series of dated readings rather than a single claim. If the sentence has vanished when you read this, that is itself the answer, and this page will say so.

How we will know whether it shipped

None of those four is a changelog, and the limit is worth stating plainly: this developer does not publish one. What we can confirm is that a timestamp moved or that a sentence changed. What shipped inside an update is usually something we have to infer from what it left behind, which is slower and less satisfying than a patch note and is the only honest option available.

• The description itself, re-read on a schedule. If UPDATE 2 replaces the UPDATE 1.5 block, that is the clearest evidence available, and the new block gets quoted here rather than summarised.
• The badge endpoint, which is empty today. This game has no badges at all, and a badge appearing after an update would be the cheapest announcement a developer could make.
• Our update log, which already holds three dated entries for this game and which keeps our reading dates separate from the dates the game reports.

What UPDATE 1.5 suggests about the pace

The block above the UPDATE 2 line describes UPDATE 1.5, and it lists eight items: a Nuke, 8 new buildings and 2 bridges, a working train, improved crater scorching, a Tornado, an Earthquake, an Attack Heli and more cash per strike. That is an unusually large single drop for a game three weeks old, and it sets the expectation for what a numbered update means here.

The numbering says something too. A version 1.5 sits between 1 and 2, which is the shape of a mid-step patch rather than a milestone, and this one carried a weapon, two natural disasters, a vehicle, a moving world object and an economy change. If that is what a half-step looked like, the developer's 2 is being advertised as something larger, though the description does not say what larger means.

What we are not going to do

We are not going to announce UPDATE 2 before it exists. A wiki that writes 'UPDATE 2 is out' from a store-page sentence is writing something the developer did not say, and the reader pays for it by going to look for content that is not there. This page will say the update shipped on the day we can point at a timestamp or a description change, and not before.

We are also not going to date UPDATE 1.5. The description gives it no date of its own, Roblox's update field reads 9 September 2026, and nothing published connects the two. Our update log carries that list as a 10 September 2026 reading for exactly that reason, and a page that assigns it a shipment date is guessing with a date attached.

What we will not count as confirmation

Three things get treated as evidence of an update shipping and only two of them are. A new timestamp on Roblox's own record is evidence. A changed description is evidence. A video titled as a new update, a community post, or a message in a server that echoes one is not, because none of those can distinguish a developer's release from a player's expectation of one. When this page changes, it will cite which of the two checks produced the change.

What we have not checked

We have not read the developer's group posts in full, which is the one place a small studio usually says more than a store page does and where a delayed update would most likely be explained. We have not searched for an announcement video or watched community footage, so if Airstrike Industries has said more about UPDATE 2 somewhere else, we have not seen it. We have not played the game before or after 1.5 either, so we cannot compare the two states of it, and we do not know whether the description line is updated automatically by a bot or typed by hand.
